Princesses On Parade

Princess Parade in the Salem News

Spending a day in the Dutch Village Inn's wonderland of princesses and magic fairy dust truly inspires the importance of encouraging one another to reach for all our goals. From fairy princess to professional photographer, chef to CEO and mommies to hairdressers, believing in yourself with the support of friends and family can make all the difference.

Our environments influence our personalities and our work, so they should be a little fun and a little whimsical every so often. That whimsy is created a little in our own imaginations and here at the Inn our banquet level was transformed by our in house floral shop The Dutch Tulip, a tea luncheon fit for a queen made by our Executive Chef and her kitchen crew with the personalized service found only in the finest castles by our banquet servers and Event Department.

The Fairy Godmother, Princess Belle and Princess Magadalynn taught 43 girls about inner princess beauty while crowning them a princess.

Images of this magical event were captured by Photographer Matt Styer and are being processed. Preview photos below:

AREA GIRLS INVITED TO BECOME PRINCESSES FOR A DAY

AREA GIRLS INVITED TO BECOME PRINCESSES FOR A DAY

All girls aged 3 – 12 are invited to dress up like their favorite princess and join the “Princesses on Parade” fashion show on Saturday, March 6, from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm, at Das Dutch Village Inn, 150 East State Route 14 in Columbiana.

The fashion show, in the grand banquet hall of the Inn, will be incorporated into a fairy-tale production entitled “Wishes and Dreams” starring Philadelphia actress Magdalyn Donnelly. She will portray the grown-up Princess Magdalena who, along with other fairy tale characters, reveals what it means to be a true princess.

Princesses will have the opportunity to “walk the runway” in front of family and friends in their choice of dress-up clothes portraying their favorite princess.

Tables will be set with a tea-party theme and refreshments, and each princess in the fashion show will receive a tiara, princess sash and a rose from the Dutch Tulip, the Inn’s on-site floral and event service. Additional princess flowers and costume accessories may also be ordered in advance from the Dutch Tulip by calling the Inn.

Mary Kay make-up specialists will be on hand free of charge between 11:00 am and 12 Noon for any princess who would like to have make-up applied before the fashion show. Princesses may also order a video of the fashion show as well as photos taken at the event with the fairy-tale actors.

Das Dutch Haus Restaurant and the Dutch Village Shops will be open before and after the event for princesses who want to shop for special treats and trinkets.

The Inn is also offering a discounted “Princess” room package for families who want to make it an overnight celebration, including indoor swimming and a free continental breakfast.

Ticket reservation and fashion-show registration must be made in advance by calling Das Dutch Village Inn at 330-482-5050, extension 310.
